Annual Canvass of Electors

The canvass of electors will commence on 3 September when forms will be issued to households requesting information on electors who are resident at 15/10/08. Young people who will attain the age of 18 before 1st Dec ‘09 must be added to the form to ensure they can vote. British & Commonwealth citizens may vote in all elections. EU citizens resident in the Scottish Borders can, on application, vote in Local Government, Scottish Parliament and EU Elections. For help/advice contact the ERO.
